About Stephen Dorton
Stephen Dorton, the creative eye behind the camera of Dorton Imagery, Ltd, was born and raised in Hanover County, graduating from Lee Davis High School and still resides in Ashland. An active member of the community, Stephen has taken what began as a Christmas present with his first camera at the age of 12, to developing his lifelong hobby into a much higher level career.... For the past 33 years, Stephen has been sharing his passion for nature and history through artistic photography, capturing the very best and most beautiful that life has to offer. He tells photographic stories of those special memories for families, special events, the grand foundation of our country and historical sites, breathtaking scenic views and natural landscaping, and the innocence and beauty of natureā¦..all through the eye of the camera giving heart and breath to each photo. Adding the flair of traditional photography to the new digital computer enhanced world of photo art has become his specialty.
